A troubled socially inept shut-in who lives in a London slum, and collects 1980s violent action movies, is revealed to be a secret serial killer.
Tony holds a solid 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 15 reviews.
Sky Movies said "Undeniably bleak, but blood-blackly funny and disturbing rather than depressing, this puts Johnson in the Shane Meadows league, and with Ferdinando the director may also have his own ready-made Paddy Considine." [1]
The Daily Mirror said "Funny, terrifying and with a central character to be both despised and pitied, here's a movie that once seen is very, very hard to forget - not necessarily a good thing."[2]
Empire Magazine Kim Newman of Empire said "Not cheery, but gripping, against-the-odds funny and uncomfortably unique. Johnson and Ferdinando are certainly now names to watch." [3]
The Evening Standard Derek Malcolm of the Evening Standard said "it is most certainly the product of a real and very promising film-maker, inhabiting a convincingly original world of its own." [4]
